Linguo-cognitive models in mini-format texts in English educational discourse (based on «English Unlimited» textbook, Advanced)

چکیده
The article deals with cognitive models analysis of situations represented in mini-format texts from English educational discourse. research is based on the coursebook Unlimited Advanced. method implied has been modelling developed by American linguist Dell Hymes. This includes representation communicative situation via meaningful constituents like Participants, Act and Sequence, Setting Scene, Tone, Key, Instrumentalities others. aim to reveal dominant components linguo-cognitive their pragmatic functions. It revealed that analyzed are Participants and, Key. authors highlight these help language means at realizing emotive affective function. also Advanced level contain more comprehensive implications, thus students must decode main themes ideas not only but using background knowledge specific scenarios memory.
